The PVS parents and pupils have proven themselves scarily fit, clocking up an impressive 3125km! Thank you to all who took part – the event was a wonderful example of what is good about being at PVS. We were able to exercise in beautiful surrounds, celebrate our community spirit and we loved how everyone interpreted the theme.

Congratulations to our winners:

Officially the scariest family at PVS is the Gardee family.

The spookiest girl was Samaya from PVJ.

The most frightening boy was Nicholas James at PVJ!

Our ghoulish dog Juba was dressed in bandages

The fastest runner was Sibusiso Nzima-an Olympic athlete, no less!

The fastest boy home was Dylan Weber and the fastest girl was Skye Tucker.

The first dog past the finish line was Jasper Barnes.

Well done to all who took part; dogs, prams and grandparents included!

The marshals noted that Miss Rogers was hardly breaking a sweat in being the first teacher home! Guess no grade 4 is giving her the run around!

The class with the most kilometers clocked will be announced at Assembly on Monday. We hope you enjoy your open City Bus Tour sponsored by Jo’burg Red City Buses!

A special mention must be made of the teachers and partners who braved a 5:15am start to marshal the race. The PTA, led by Caryl Kelly did a marathon job of organising the event. Zaidah Goosein deserves a special shout out for the uphill battle in organizing all the documentation for the JOC approval! Thanks to David for stepping in at the last minute to do the music so ably and to our wonderful compere Ashley Hayden who did the prize giving with aplomb!

The scary school run was a resounding success and we thank all of you for your contributions, please know that your efforts help make PVS successful. We managed to raise R47 275 for our school!
