On the 6th February, every child in the school was involved in a half hour of reading aloud, either to a “buddy” or a classmate. The Grade 4s have a specific “buddy” in Gr 7, who acts as a mentor and ” go to” person.”
The avid readers enjoyed sharing their favourite books, past and present, with their chosen group.
We always remember how important it is to be read to, for children’s language and concept development.
