HORIZON MATHS COMPETITION:
A total of 82 270 learners participated in the competition throughout the country. Only 9 475 learners got through to the second round. PVS had 28 learners in the top 160 of those acknowledged at the prize giving on the last Saturday. The questions were difficult and learners had to use their problem solving and lateral thinking skills.
Aman Morar in Grade 7 was placed 6th in the Top Ten, Aamina Mayet 14th in the Top 20, Gradon Stevenson 21st and Rebecca Leisegang 28th in the Top 50 and Rebecca Klaaren in Grade 5 was in placed 112th in the Top 200.
All the Grades wrote the same paper. Congratulations to all the learners who were acknowledged. We are proud of you and the Maths department at Parkview Senior, as well as our supportive parents.
