Silver certificates: For an overall average of between 75 – 79% over two
consecutive terms in 8 subjects: Rohan Chidley; Hamza Gani; Aaliyah Moolla; Samuel Barnes; Usayd Gouse; Yusuf Jassat; Abigail Dickerson; Jessica Klaaren; Yusuf Gani; Daniel Erlank and Ameerah Deane.
Gold certificates: For an average of 80% and over for two consecutive terms in 8 subjects: Kaelyn Haffern; Luca Khambule; Veril Modi; Gomotsegang Molefe; Aman Morar; Rayhaan Bhoola; Gradon Stevenson and Anabelle Archer
Full Academic Colours: The learner must achieve 80% in 7 subjects, one of which must be a language. An overall average of 85% in 8 subjects must be achieved. All this must be attained over 2 consecutive terms in the same subjects. To attain these requirements requires extremely hard work and diligence, so very well done for “ Striving for Excellence” and achieving it, Rebecca Leisegang and Faaria Tikly. SPORTS AWARDS:
The following special scrolls were awarded for excellence in sports which are not offered by the school. The children who were recognised for their outstanding achievements were:
Kadin Chester – Gymnastics. He was selected for the Gauteng Men’s Gymnastic squad. He has Senior Provincial Colours. Last year he became the youngest gymnast in the Wanderers Club 130 years’ history, to win the Club’s Men’s open gymnastics championships.
Sarah Field – Gymnastics . She was awarded Gauteng colours last year and she represented Central Gauteng at the provincial championships.
Ashleigh King – Ringball- Plays for the Gauteng Girls’ North under 13 Ringball team.
Rohan Chidley – Sailing. He took part in the European championships 12 – 15yrs old age group, representing South Africa.
SCHOOL SPORT CO-CURRICULAR AWARDS:
The re-award of Half Colours go to Ahmad Hamdulay and Yusuf Sarfudin for being selected for District soccer side again this year.
Full Colours go to Sinnon Khosa who made the Provincial soccer side.
Various certificates were awarded in recognition of improvement, contribution and excellence in Netball and Soccer. Congratulations to all of you for success!
