PVS WINS THE SOUTH AFRICAN FINAL OF THE INTERNATIONAL KIDS’ LIT QUIZ!
On Saturday, our team of four avid readers delighted us with their amazing win against 8 other teams from across the country. They were guarded during the 1st round, but then there was no stopping them! They were so excited to win, as they had faced stiff competition and the questions were extremely difficult.
This is the email we received from the International Quiz master, Wayne Mills, who draws up the questions and takes the Quiz around the world.
Dear Mrs Hall
Firstly, congratulations on a superb performance at the South African National Final on Saturday by your team: Cara Moore; Brendan Hope; Emma Morgan-Allais and Solomon Plagerson. All held their nerve and came from behind to win. They, the school and their parents can feel extremely proud. I hope you have a special assembly to mark the occasion.
Meanwhile bask in your glory and well done to everyone involved.

This means that we have been invited to participate in the World Finals against 8 other countries’ winning teams!! The finals take place in Hamilton, New Zealand, in July, which includes an all-expenses paid week of visits to local attractions, such as the Hobbiton Movie set! The expenses we need to take care of are flights, a shuttle bus and visas. We will be launching fund raising activities very soon.
