CONGRATULATIONS FOR EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACHIEVEMENTS:
SPORTING AWARDS:
Several children were recognised for their sporting achievements outside of school, at our Assembly on Monday.
Cricket: Zayan Jacob-Menon and Aadam Hamdulay were selected for district cricket teams, as part of the Jo’burg North cricket squad, for the Gauteng Area Festival. They received half colours for cricket. Swimming: Sahana Dayaram qualified for Level 3, by swimming 100 m backstroke for Central Gauteng Aquatics.She has achieved the highest level required in order to qualify for the next level, which is the South African National Junior level. Sahana received half colours for swimming
Gymnastics:
Malikah Bhyat qualified for the National Gymnastics Championships. She is on level 6 and received a certificate.
Jordan Osborn qualified for National Gymnastics Championships in the Jnr. and Snr. Olympic Squads. She accomplished a Gold medal in floor work and a silver medal on beam work. Jordan is on level 9 and received a certificate and badge
Jing Rakgole competed in the Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition at national level recently. She came 5th in U13 and 9th overall. She received a Certificate and a badge.
Equestrian: Kaylin Chaldecott and Kibi Gourlez De La Motte took part in the Gauteng Regional Horse Riding Competition and were selected to represent the Gauteng Team at the National Championships. They received a certificate and a badge.
Well done and congratulations to all these children, who have excelled in their sports. You set a fine example of determination and excellence!
Cycling: Adam Enslin-Payne took part in the Gauteng Track Cycle Championships in August this year. He won 3 Silver medals and 1 Bronze. In 2020, he won a gold medal. He received a certificate and badge for this achievement.
Water Polo: Matina Badat is part of the Gauteng Water Polo Team. She received a certificate and a badge.
Swimming: Chloe Green Chloe is a ranked level 3 swimmer for Central Gauteng Aquatics in several strokes. Level 3 is the highest before a swimmer can qualify for the next level, which is the South African National Junior level. Chloe receives half colours for swimming.
Singing: Mia Latagean -Karspinka took part in an Eisteddfod for singing and received a certificate for her achievemen
